About This Project
Created during the annual Clewiston Sugar Festival, this large scale mural by Florida based artist Mark Francis, professionally known as Bulk Styles, was painted live at the Clewiston Youth Center in the heart of the celebration. Designed as both a finished public artwork and a live experience, the mural allowed festivalgoers to witness the creative process unfold in real time, turning the wall into an interactive focal point of the event.
Drawing inspiration from Clewiston's agricultural roots, natural landscape, and vibrant community spirit, the composition blends bold tropical color, flowing movement, and iconic Florida wildlife. A dynamic alligator, native birds, citrus elements, and layered environmental textures come together beneath a sweeping "Clewiston" script, anchoring the piece in both place and pride. The saturated palette and fluid transitions reflect the warmth and energy of the festival atmosphere.
Unlike traditional studio projects, this mural was created in direct conversation with the community.
