About This Project
In 2018, Mark Francis, also known as Bulk Styles, partnered with Galera Collective and Paws on the Avenue for a community mural project in Lake Worth Beach. Created in celebration of Paws on the Avenue's 20 years of service, the mural honored the organization's long-standing mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals throughout Palm Beach County. The project blended public art with purpose, using a highly visible mural to bring awareness to animal welfare and community involvement.
The mural holds deep personal meaning for Mark, featuring imagery inspired by his late dog Shadow alongside his cat, Mo. By incorporating his own pets into the artwork, Mark connected personal storytelling with a broader community cause, reinforcing the emotional bond between people and animals. This Lake Worth mural stands as a lasting tribute to compassion, rescue advocacy, and the role public art can play in supporting nonprofit organizations and strengthening community ties.
